Biography:

Philip Hopke is the Robert A. Plane Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Clarkson University, where he also holds an appointment in the Department of Chemistry. While at Clarkson, he has served as Chair of the Department of Chemistry, Head of the Division of Physical and Chemical Sciences, and Dean of the Graduate School. He has numerous grants from the EPA, U.S. Department of Energy, and NSF. Dr. Hopke is very active in public service, including chairing the Clean Air Science Advisory Committee for the EPA as well as serving on 6 National Research Council committees. He is Editor-in-Chief of Aerosol Science and Technology, Associate Editor of Chemometrics and Intelligent Laboratory Systems, and he has authored or co-authored over 250 journal articles, written one book, and edited five others.
