Biography:

Ph.D., Biology, University of Calgary, Canada

 
     
Myron Mitchell is a Professor in the Faculty of Environmental and Forest Biology at State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry. He also directs the SUNY ESF Council on Hydrological Systems Science. His research focuses on biogeochemistry, forest ecology, effects of acid rain on aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems, and decomposition processes of floral-faunal interactions in terrestrial and aquatic systems. Dr. Mitchell is a Fellow of the AAAS, and a member of the Board Directors of the Upstate Freshwater Institute. His research has been funded by the EPA, NYSERDA, USDA Forest Service, and NSF.
